Laser Spider Vein Therapy

Telangiectasias, or spider veins, are small dilated blood vessels near the surface of the skin. They can develop anywhere on the body, but they commonly develop on the face around the nose, cheeks, and chin; and on the legs, specifically on the upper thigh, below the knee joint, and around the ankles.

Spider veins are often treated with laser therapy. Laser therapy uses an intense light beam that is pulsed onto the veins in order to heat them and seal them off, which causes them to dissolve.

For optimal results, several laser treatments are usually necessary.
